About GOB

I originally acquired the grumpy old blogger domain a couple of years ago when I finally reached the “I’m as mad as hell, and I’m not going to take this anymore!!” stage with suppliers who had no idea what ‘customer service’ meant. Cotton Traders had upset me a while before and then a spat with Amazon led to my purchse of ‘GOB’.

However, as I get older my ability to sustain my rages diminishes and I didn’t get around to implementing my strategy of giving one chance to make amends and then going for the jugular. Two recent events have strengthened my resolve though and I have now (September 2008) launched GOB as a forum to vent my spleen (and allow YOU to do the same subject to some rules to protect me from legal action) and also to ramble on about things that strike me as important.

So what’s in it for you?

Well …

If you are sick and tired of bad, rude, indifferent, uncaring service – welcome. So am I.

Here you can find complaints, add your complaints (email me at jim@jimewan.com if you would like to be a ‘guest gob’) and also, now and then, read about good things and ideas for improving the world (not always serious ideas). Oh, yes – and occasional cartoons.

If you want to know more about me, you could visit my web site, www.jimewan.com or my other blog, www.essentialbusinessbooks.com.
